Whether you’re welcoming a newborn or updating family photos,

this guide is here to make things feel calm and manageable.

You don’t need to be perfectly prepared. You just need a little guidance.

What to Wear

Keep things simple and soft.


Best choices:

  • Neutrals and muted tones
  • Simple patterns or solids
  • Comfortable, breathable fabrics


For newborn sessions:

  • Parents in neutral tones
  • Baby in a simple onesie, wrap, or swaddle
  • No need for fancy outfits


Avoid:

  • Matching outfits
  • Heavy patterns
  • Anything stiff or itchy

Prepping Your Home

(If In-Home)

You don’t need a spotless house.


Focus on:

  • Clearing nightstands
  • Opening blinds and curtains
  • Tidying main living areas


Natural light is everything. I’ll guide you to the best spots.

Prepping Kids

Kids don’t need to be “on.”


  • Let them be themselves
  • Tell them we’ll be hanging out and playing
  • No pressure to smile


Breaks are okay. Wiggles are normal. I’ve got it covered.
